Nuevo día.

He estado dejando pasar el tiempo sin actuar.

Decidido.

Llevo hora y media aquí y no he logrado ningún avance.

No había electricidad.

The Luckiest

The Luckiest by Ben Folds

I don't get many things right the first time
In fact, I am told that a lot
Now I know all the wrong turns, the stumbles and falls
Brought me here

And where was I before the day
That I first saw your lovely face?
Now I see it everyday
And I know

That I am
I am
I am
The luckiest

What if I'd been born fifty years before you
In a house on a street where you lived?
Maybe I'd be outside as you passed on your bike
Would I know?

And in a white sea of eyes
I see one pair that I recognize
And I know

That I am
I am
I am
The luckiest

I love you more than I have ever found a way to say to you
Next door there's an old man who lived to his nineties
And one day passed away in his sleep
And his wife; she stayed for a couple of days
And passed away

I'm sorry, I know that's a strange way to tell you that I know we belong
That I know

That I am
I am
I am
The luckiest

Capote (2005)

Calculated ambition and betrayal: characteristics rarely used to describe the way writers work. Nevertheless, in a complex relationship between a brilliant and eccentric writer, Truman Capote, and a condemned prisoner on death row, these are exactly the elements we see.

November 15th, 1959. Capote (Philip Seymour Hoffman) reads a short newspaper article in The New York Times about the brutal murder of a rural Kansas family, the Clutters. He decides to write an article describing the effect of such a tragedy on the inhabitants of the town. But instead of an article, he starts to write a book, a non-fiction book that could change the way people write. And as becomes increasingly clear, Capote himself will never be the same. This is the beginning of an almost documentary film of this crucial period in Capote's life.

Capote concentrates on a small core of characters and their interaction. It would have been easy to turn the film into a polemic, but Bennett's movie resists the urge to caricaturize Capote’s contradictions, talent or mannerisms. The inner fight of the author between the needs of his real-life characters and the desire to satiate his own ego and service his art takes center stage.

Excellent choice for this month! You can catch this art flick at the Cinema Arts Theater, Shirlington Cinema and Dupont 5.

This is how a heart breaks!

Song: This Is How A Heart Breaks
Singer: Rob Thomas

Don't you wanna go for a ride
Just keep your hands inside
And make the most out of life
Now don't you take it for granted

Life is like a mean machine
It made a mess outta me
It left me caught in between
Like an angry dream I was stranded. I was stranded.

And I'm steady but I'm starting to shake
And I don't know how much more I can take

This is it now
Everybody get down
This is all I can take
This is how a heart breaks
Now take a hit now
you feel it break down
ake you stay wide awake
This is how a heart breaks

Don't you wanna go for a ride
Down to the other side
Feel so good you can cry
Now won't you do what I told you

I remember when you used to be shy
Yeah, once we were so fine
You and I and why you gotta make it so hard on me it's hard on me

And I'm sorry but it's not a mistake
And I'm running but you're getting away

(CHORUS)
this is how a heart breaks

You're not the best thing that I knew
Never was never cared too much
For all this hanging around
It's just the same thing all the time
Never get what I want
Never get too close to the end of the line
You're just the same thing that I knew back before the time
When I was only for you
